Transforming Legacy Giving: The Key to Recovery and Incredible Future Growth

Presenter: Kimberley Blease, Blakely

The global pandemic has done more to normalize will making and nudge people to think about their personal legacies than anything else in our time. People are also focused on what truly matters and feeling altruistic at this challenging time. Within our charitable organizations, the increased pressure for revenue recovery and diversification of our revenue models is intense.  All of this means that if there was ever a time to significantly change our approach to legacy marketing and seriously invest in this amazing area of donor engagement – that time is now.

In this important Summer School session, we will identify the key drivers and donor attitudes that you will need to understand in order to do more legacy engagement in the future.  We will demonstrate the incredible power of information, and help you build a case for increased investment in legacy marketing that is driven from a solid strategic framework and new ways to measure value and growth.

We will demonstrate the vital connection between legacy, annual, mass & community giving and most importantly, tribute giving, that will have you thinking differently about how you manage and grow your legacy program.  We will underpin the importance of your legacy proposition & offer, and how inspiring creative can help you to build awareness and engagement for giving with your donors and beyond.

Through global examples, we will inspire you to rethink your approaches to legacy marketing and build amazing donor journey’s for your audiences – as well as understand the organizational impact of broad-based marketing and donor experience as tools to drive more legacy conversations and more connections. We will demonstrate the importance of digital channels in your legacy fundraising mix which allows you to engage with the largest donor cohort in history (and a vital part of your future).

If your dream is to have legacy giving lead the organization into the future, ensure every stakeholder in your organization has legacy on the radar and create real change around how you engage your donors – this session should not be missed.
